LEAP英語学習プログラム
LEAP（ランガラ進学英語学習）は、英語圏の大学やカレッジで勉強することを目指す、英語を母国語としない学生のために設けられた英語集中プログラムです。LEAPの初級から中級レベルではバンクーバー、カナダ、そして世界に関する知識を深めながら、「話す、聞く、読む、書く」のスキルの向上に取り組みます。レベルはLEAP-BasicからLEAP-8まで8レベルに分かれており、7週間で1セッションとなります。70％以上の成績で1レベル上がることができます。| 学習内容 | 基礎レベル：LEAP-Basic～LEAP-2 LEAPの初級、中級レベルでは、バンクーバーやカナダの文化や社会に重点を置きます。様々なトピック、教材、アクティビティを取り上げて、生きた言語を学べる環境を提供します。学生は、バンクーバー、カナダそして世界についての知識を広げながら、スピーキング、リスニング、リーディング、ライティングのスキルを身に付けることができます。 進学準備レベル：LEAP-3～LEAP-8 中級、上級プログラムでは、広範囲にわたるトピックを学習します。コアとなる言語スキルを学習し、プログラムが進むにつれ、批判的思考のレベルと、学習戦略の難易度が高くなってきます。 LEAPを修了すると、ランガラカレッジの大学課程に進学することができます。LEAP-8に在籍する学生は、LEAPコースの他に、大学の単位取得コースを1コース履修することが可能です。またLEAPは年に6回開講され、授業は週20時間で、毎週10～20時間分の宿題が出されます。 |
